I was looking for a good Z mechanic. Don is that and I am pleased with his knowledge and he is much better than the other choices available in the bay area. I will definitely go back to Don to work on my Z in the future.

Don is the man! This is my third experience with him, and it's rare that you meet a mechanic (or any business owner for that matter) who conducts good, honest business. I dropped off my Z for an unknown idling issue, and while Don had it for two days to try to diagnose the problem, he wasn't able to reproduce the issue that I described. When I came to pick up my Z, he didn't charge me at all since he couldn't reproduce/diagnose the issue. Typically, most other shops would at least charge an hour or two to investigate the issue, but not Don. My Z is fine now, but if it does act up, I'm coming back to Don without hesitation!

I've been taking my 300ZX to Don's since I moved to the south bay (2002). Since he specializes, he knows when to recommend aftermarket replacement parts instead of Nissan OEM parts, and I've always been happy with his recommendations. I appreciate that he never tries to up-sell me, or to sell me services I don't need. In fact, quite the opposite, if I ask him about a specific maintenance service, he will tell me if it is something that is not due yet. He's also a nice guy, and takes the time to answer all of my questions. I recommend him without any reservation.

Took the car in for service the first time to Don and was really impressed. First, his shop is super neat and clean and I think this indicates a man who is a perfectionist. He did a quick oil change on the car, checked it over for anything that needed to be done (and didn't find anything unlike the dealer) and also replaced the rear hatch shocks, all for a reasonable price. He was in touch with me and let me know when it would be done and came in early. Good work and good communication. What more would you want from your mechanic? I highly recommend.

Honest, knowledgable, and straight to the point. I've had a lot of work done on my 300zx just trying to get it up and running properly and it's been a pain dealing with other mechanics, I've only had one small job done for me by Don and I've gotta say I wish I knew about his shop before wasting my time with the other shops. I've still got some work to be done for my car and I'm happy to know I've found a reliable mechanic. Definitely will be going back for any work I need done on my car.

I've been coming to Don for nearly 5 years. There was something about him the first time I met him that told me he was honest and knowledgable. My interactions since then have just reinforced those first impressions.He has diagnosed and fixed multiple problems on my old Maxima (since sold) and the used Frontier I bought. He has been pragmatic about regular service, like oil changes; I drive less than 5,000 miles a year, so he recommends annual oil changes. His pricing is reasonable and he's willing to work me into his schedule if I have an urgent problem.It's great having the peace of mind that comes from having a reliable, honest mechanic for my vehicles!

I wish I knew about Don when I had my Infiniti, but I am elated that I found him when I purchased my 350 Z! My brakes have been squeaking for quite a while, so I thought it was about time that I brought my car in. Don told me that he would take a look at it and call me with what needed to be done.Luckily I only needed my front brakes done, and his prices for labor are really good! (I know Nissan parts are pricey, so they are the same wherever you go) One thing that really stuck out with me with Don, he's honest ... and genuine. When he first walked out to my car he noticed that my hatchback wasn't flush. He discovered that my shocks to the hatchback weren't installed properly, and he fixed it for me at no charge. Hello? Who does that!? Um, Don does .... so the man has a love for cars AND the customers that drive them. He's kind of a Superhero Mechanic, I just need to come up with a superhero name and matching super suit for him ... I'm working on it.He has a loyal following, and I've joined the group.

I was taken for $1000's by another car company. They not only took my money but did a lot of damage to my car. I finally got my car "mostly" fixed by said company but nothing short of 2 transmissions, two clutches, 3 axles, about 5 or 6 O2 sensors, flywheel, reverse position sensor, fuel pump, and the list goes on believe it or not. Still left with a rough idle and a missing part I took it to Don. He had very limited time with such short notice that I gave him but agreed to check the car out to make sure the car was safe to drive. Telling him my horror story with the last business...he expressed his genuine sympathy for my experience. It meant a lot since the last company never once openly admitted responsibility for ruining my car...even though they paid to have my transmission rebuilt and $1000 is rental car fees...they never told me why or admitted they f****d up my car. But Don made time simply to make sure i and all of you would be safe with me driving my car. I havent had any work done to my car but when I get my money back from the last company, I will be going to Don to try to get my car back to where it was...and I get the sense that wont be good enough for Don and he will have it running better. I have had only a couple phone conversations and two face to face...but I trust him . I am actually looking forward to spending the money I WILL get back with him. If only I went to him initially...i woud never have been put through 2 months B.S. that literally drove me crazy. Thank you Don for being a respectable person and business owner.
